To support the transition, Upsellit developed personalized, geo-targeted strategies across two websites to reduce abandonment and boost acquisition, without introducing new incentives. Leveraging Targeted Tactics and Exit Detect, Upsellit identified abandonment patterns in real time to engage shoppers at pivotal moments before abandonment. 

Campaigns were dynamically segmented using geographic segmentation to pinpoint user locations and surface tailored, area-specific offers for eligible shoppers. For shoppers outside qualifying regions, alternative campaigns preserved a personalized experience and guided users smoothly toward conversion, ensuring no engagement opportunity was lost.

Behavioral parsing further enhanced targeting by building intelligent shopper profiles, ensuring the right message was delivered at the right moment. This allowed Upsellit to strategically present incentives when shoppers were most likely to convert, rather than relying on static or generic triggers.

The Results

Through continuous testing and strategic optimizations, Upsellit delivered an average 35% new customer acquisition rate, a 49% increase in conversions, and a 33% lift in repeat customers. 

By aligning shopper behavior, geographic relevance, and tailored incentive strategies, Upsellit successfully reduced abandonment, increased acquisition, and drove measurable revenue growth across both websites.

Upsellit Wins Bronze: Best Performance-Based Partnership

Upsellit earned Bronze for Best Performance-Based Partnership for a collaboration that addressed key friction points in the shopper journey to reduce checkout abandonment and deliver measurable ROI.

Through an in-depth analysis, Upsellit identified two major sources of checkout abandonment: unnecessary interstitial pages that disrupted the path to purchase and recurring coupon code errors at checkout. To address these challenges, Upsellit optimized an existing campaign, promoting 15 free meals over the duration of a month, across both on-site and email channels.

Using Targeted Tactics, Upsellit engaged abandoning shoppers with personalized on-site engagements featuring the offer. Anonymous Visitor ID and PreCapture Form Monitoring then captured shopper emails during the checkout process, enabling strategic follow-up via email for those who abandoned before completing a purchase.

Building on these efforts, Upsellit also deployed Coupon Corrector to eliminate coupon code friction at checkout and streamline the final steps of the shopper journey.

The Results

The combination of these targeted initiatives contributed significantly to sitewide performance, driving a 33% increase in new customers, a 29% lift in repeat customers, and an impressive 53% overall revenue lift.

Upsellit earned Bronze for Best Travel & Hospitality Partnership for a collaboration with a multi-brand parent company to increase acquisition and grow revenue across five travel and hospitality brands.

Upsellit identified brand-specific challenges to enhance the user journey across each site. Combining dynamic on-site engagements, real-time urgency, and personalized interactions, Upsellit created campaigns tailored to each brand’s unique audiences and objectives.

Upsellit engaged abandoning shoppers with dynamic Lead Capture campaigns that highlighted the number of available parking spaces alongside limited-time discounts. Shoppers identified through both Lead Capture and Anonymous Visitor ID were re-engaged through personalized emails featuring Cart Rebuilder technology, which restored their abandoned carts and provided a seamless path back to purchase.

Continuous A/B testing further refined campaign performance by exploring whether incorporating imagery of parking lots or shuttles tailored to the city where the lot was located drove higher engagement. Upsellit also tested how requiring email submissions to unlock discounts impacted conversion rates.

The Results

Through this highly tailored, data-driven approach, Upsellit delivered an average 19% increase in conversions, a 17% increase in acquisition, and a 40% overall revenue lift, surpassing performance goals across all five brands.
